Getting a Good Deal on Perfume
May 1, 2008
The perfume you wear defines your character and personalities therefore one has to be careful when choosing it. There are some perfumes however, that simply soothe your senses from the instant it is dispersed from the bottle and you know it will turn out to be the right one for you. Perfumes, just like almost anything else if divided by two main categories: men and women. The perfumes differ in many ways, from the shape of the bottles to the important factor, which is the scent of the perfume that will define what we consider masculine and feminine.
How To Choose A Good Perfume?
The best way to decide if a perfume is suitable for you is to try it on your skin directly and allow it to get absorbed for a few minutes before you smell it, in order to get the right notes and not just the alcohol, which usually is the first to evaporate. You are sure to find the scent that fits your personality.
All said and done but if one is brand freak and is waiting for good offers to come in case of perfumes then one is surely in a fix. Coz brand perfumes never are sold on sale. On has to either pay a fool price are be satisfied with the add-on benefits as in free make up, free travel bags etc.
Special Offers:
Since many a time the branded companies do not have the policy of offering monetary discounts so occasionally big departmental stores do offer other non-monetary benefits.
Many upscale department stores like Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and the like run frequent promotional offers on perfumes where they do not offer a single penny discount but do offer other advantages like free make up, cosmetic bags, traveling bags and more. There are more promotions running around the holidays, but during other times of the year as well, you can get a neat tote bag for yourself when you buy a perfume. Some have the Nautica or Polo Ralph Lauren monogram on it, which isn’t s bad thing if you’re going to use it yourself.
Gift Sets:
Again Gift sets are a good as for eg one may pay $60 for a particular fragrance and the gift set consisting of two more additional items is retailed at $70. So one may pay a few dollars and get two additional items in the form of shower gel, deodorant stick or face wash. These are again good bargains.
Auction Sites:
There are websites like ebay that often sell brand new, sealed in box perfume at reduced prices. Again one can get good deal of them. It may so happen that the fragrance we are looking for does not appeal to some so he may list the same on the websites at discounted prices. One has to also remember to compare shipping and handling costs with the other e-listers so as to save on the shipping and handling prices as well.
If one is buying the perfume for personal use then one even want to save more by buying an open bottle. There are several websites offering these opened bottles at discounted prices. It may so happen that one has purchased the bottle but does not like the fragrance after application so he may list the same at these websites at reduced prices. However one has to always ask for the pictures of the used bottle in order to judge how much quantity has been used.
Drug Stores:
At times even these drug stores sell branded perfumes at a reduced price than departmental stores. They may not have a large variety on display but they may be having selected brands with reduced prices. So when there is question of saving a few bucks no harm in checking up with the drug stores.
Summary
Thus one if one is waiting for a good bargain then when has to check up at all possible places before taking the final decision.
